With Neil Toyota, Resident Teacher
In recent years our understanding of the external world has increased considerably and as a result we have witnessed remarkable material progress, but there has not been a corresponding increase in human happiness. In fact, it might be said that there are more problems and greater unhappiness than ever before. This shows that the cause of happiness is not to be found in the external world.
Buddha taught that happiness and unhappiness are feelings--parts of the mind--so if we want happiness and freedom from suffering, we must improve our understanding and control of the mind. Join us and explore Buddha's teachings on the mind and learn meditations and practical ways to experience happiness and mental freedom in our lives.
Each class will consist of guided meditations, a practical talk, and time for group discussion.
Everyone is welcome!
