Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully

We all have immense freedom to do what we want.  Faced with so many options, we can ask ourselves what is the most meaningful way to use our precious life?  What will make us truly happy?  How can we live in a way that is of most benefit to others?  And when the lives of others are over, how can we help them?  When our own life comes to an end, what will help us then?

In this course, based on the book "Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully," we will explore answers to these important questions.  We will explore the profound Buddhist practice of ‘Powa’ or ‘transference of consciousness’, a method meditators use to direct their own consciousness to a higher state at the time of death, and also learn how to use this practice to help the dying and those who have recently died. There is nothing wiser and kinder we can do for ourselves and others.
