Get Involved at KMC The Hamptons
Our center is a volunteer based 501(c)3 non profit organization that is run entirely by the local community. It is built by us, and for everyone, so that the profound peace of Buddha’s teachings are as accessible as possible, to everyone on the East End of Long Island.
There are a range of volunteer opportunities and ways to support the center, no matter how much or little time you have. But feel free also to drop us a line if you have a skill that you think would benefit the center and we don’t even know it yet.
- The first Sunday of each month is Center Cherishing Day. We meet together as a group at the end of Sunday class – 12 noon, and spend a couple of hours working on Center projects. Such as cleaning and fixing up the place. You are welcome to join us – just turn up!
- Staffing our open hours. Even an hour or two a week makes a great difference to our being able to be accessible to the community. Please email or call if you would like to help in this way. Or see Alfred at the end of a class.
- Take a couple flyers to the coffeeshops, and other spots you frequent… or if not, every Tuesday around 1pm, a group of us flyer the neighborhood. If you’d like to join, just show up, or see Priscilla at the end of class to coordinate.
You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to working with you and building our community together.
