These classes consist of talks and guided meditations suitable for everyone. The emphasis is on integrating Buddha’s teachings into our lives. Beginners are welcome. Although taught as a series, each class is self-contained. If you are attending more than one class per week, consider our membership option at only $70 per month.

How to Understand the Mind

A meditation class series based on Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s extraordinary book, How to Understand the Mind. What is the mind? How does it work to cognize objects? Where do negative minds come from? How can we reduce and abandon them? How can we improve our concentration and other peaceful minds? How can we transform our mind and our self? What is an enlightened mind? We will answer these questions, and many more, all while learning to meditate in depth on the beautiful and blissful nature of our pure mind.

Meditations for a Happy Life

Based on Based upon Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s book The New Eight Steps to Happiness we will explore how we can transform all life’s difficulties into valuable spiritual insights.
Friday evening classes emphasize integrating essential, positive states of mind such as patience, universal love, and compassion into our daily life. Come learn how meditating on and cultivating these positive states lead to a happy, more meaningful life!
